Cover Kid Contest 2012

Thank you for your interest in Austin Family's Cover Kid Contest.
Winners will be announced in the January 2012 issue.

Submit a photo of your child, baby through teen, for a chance to appear in one of six covers during 2012!

The photograph(s) of your child will be used both in print and in electronic magazine, www.austinfamily.com.

The photographs will not be sold to anyone, and it will be used solely for purposes of Austin Family promotions.

Entries will be judged by professionals from Zach Scott, One World Theatre, and Scottish Rite Theatre.

Categories: 0-2 years; 3-5 years; 6-10 years; 11-14 years; 15-18 years.

The contest is intended for enjoyment and the opportunity to see your child on the cover, so have fun!
Rules for Entry:
  1. The photo must be no more than six months old.
  2. Your child must be available for photo shoot in the Austin area at the discretion of Austin Family.
  3. One photo per entry fee (multiple photos of same child accepted, for an additional fee).
  4. Only electronic submissions will be accepted. A good quality photo from a digital camera preferred.
  5. Entry must be made by parent or legal guardian.
  6. A $25 fee must accompany each photo.
    Entries will receive an Austin Park ticket and Regal Cinema ticket, total value over $30, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to March of Dimes.

  7. Submission must be sent with a valid email address and mailing address. Once your entry is received, a confirmation email will be sent. Tickets will be mailed to address provided.
  8. Please allow 4 weeks for delivery of tickets after receipt of email confirmation.
  9. Deadline for submission is November 15, 2011.

Procedure for Entry:

  • $25 Entry fee: credit card or PayPal accepted.
  • Click Pay Now and go to PayPal or credit card.
  • Submit Payment
  • Once transaction is approved, you will receive a receipt from both PayPal and Austin Family.
  • Check email for receipt confirmation and follow directions to continue.
  • Complete form, and confirmation of entry will be sent.


  • The image you submit must be in jpg format and smaller than 3 MB in size.
  • Please submit only high quality, original images of your child.
  • Include first name and current age of child.

Note: if paying by eCheck, it may take up to 3 days for your payment to clear.
Entries will not be accepted until payment has cleared.
