On Saturday, Aug. 13, Bishop Joe S. Vásquez of the Catholic Diocese of Austin blessed and consecrated the new Incarnate Word Chapel at St. Gabriel’s Catholic School.
The new chapel includes handcrafted, hand-painted stained glass windows and two statues. The windows and statues, made in Italy, were commissioned and donated specifically for the chapel by a family at St. Gabriel’s Catholic School.
“God’s presence within these walls transforms us – nourishing and strengthening our faith,” Bishop Vásquez says.
The Incarnate Word Chapel was constructed as part of a school expansion in 2016.
